Gracing the stage for over 50 years...

She is one of those powerful and raw performers that you cannot take your eyes off of. When she walks onto the stage, you know you are witnessing the genius of a performer who puts everything she has into her roles.

Sharlene MacLean has been gracing the stage for over 50 years. She is one of those powerful and raw performers that you cannot take your eyes off of. When she walks onto the stage, you know you are witnessing the genius of a performer who puts everything she has into her roles.

Whether playing the beautiful and powerful Eleanor of Aquitaine, or the crazed mother in ‘Minnie McGee’, or the gossipy Mrs. Pie in Anne of Green Gables, she is completely immersed and takes us with her into the depths of the character. Rarely does she leave the stage without a well deserved standing ovation.

Her life on stage has translated effortlessly to film, where she has spent most of the last 10 years, appearing in features, short films and TV .

She is gritty, funny, dark and beautiful and like the great actors, she leaves you feeling as though you embody some of her spirit. Having raised four children whilst being a theater actress, she has passed on her love of the arts to her children who have all become successful performers themselves.

Every director that has worked with her has raved about her abilities, her team work, her consistency and her range. She now lives on Prince Edward Island, where there are no shortage of roles for women in their 60s and up, she intends to continue entertaining and charming audiences all over the world.
